Et c'est grâce à vous!
Rappelez-vous, cet été nous avions lancé un appel aux dons pour la Leukemia Lymphoma Society, une association américaine qui fait un boulot formidable dans la lutte contre la leucémie et qui finance notamment des programmes de recherche pour des médicaments innovants. Le but ultime était de réunir 4300$, cette somme donnant le droit à Celia de participer au marathon Tinkerbell au park Disneyland de Los Angeles.
Grâce à votre générosité et votre participation, cette objectif à été rempli début Décembre, et même dépassé. Ce n'est pas rien! Pour la course Light the Night, mon ancienne entreprise a levé 6500$ avec plus de 650 personnes participant à l'effort de guerre... Donc 4300$ à nous deux, c'est une performance très honorable. Encore une fois, c'est complètement grâce à vous et à votre participation. Merci à tous!
Demain Celia prend l'avion pour LA où elle va passer trois jours. Seule ombre au tableau, j'étais sensé aller avec elle et nous devions rester une semaine en Californie, en profiter pour prendre un peu de vacances et visiter les parcs nationaux de Californie et du Nevada, et même pousser jusqu'au Grand Canyon. Nous devions même assister au tournage d'un épisode de Big Bang Theory...
Sauf que malheureusement, avec cette cochonnerie de hernie qui se remet à la vitesse d''un escargot neurasthénique, je ne peux pas prendre l'avion sans risquer de me déglinguer encore plus. Donc, vacances annulées. Celia va quand même courir le marathon, étant donné que cela fait des mois qu'elle se prépare... Mais je vais être obligé de rester sur le banc. Forcément cela nous attriste tous les deux, c'était un projet que nous avions mené à bien ensemble et nous voulions aller au bout ensemble... Ce n'est que partie remise, mais bon je regrette de ne pas être là pour la soutenir et l'encourager.

Celia is going to run a marathon benefiting the Leukemia Lymphoma society and that is thanks to you!
Remember, last summer we started a fundraiser for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, an American charity that does a great job in the fight against leukemia and that finances research programs for innovative drugs and cures for leukemia. The ultimate goal was to raise $ 4300, this sum entitling Celia to participate in the Tinkerbell marathon that takes place at the Disneyland park in Los Angeles.
Thanks to your generosity and participation, this objective was reached early December, and it was even exceeded. And it is a pretty significant sum: as a comparision, for the Light the Night event last October, my former company raised $ 6500 with over 650 people participating in the effort... So $ 4300 raised by the both of us, it is a very good performance. Again, this is completely thanks to you and your participation. We really wish to thanks each and everyone of you for helping us reach our goal!
Tomorrow Celia is flyng to LA where she is going to stay for three days. The only downside is that I was supposed to go with her: we were supposed to stay a week in California, in order to take a little vacation and to visit the national parks of California and Nevada, and even drive to the Grand Canyon. We even had the opportunity to attend the filming of an episode of Big Bang Theory...
Except that unfortunately, with this crappy hernia which is recovering at the speed of a neurasthenic snail, I can not fly without risking messing myself up even more. So we canceled the holidays. Celia will still run the marathon, since she has been preparing for months... But I'll be forced to stay on the bench. As you can guess, that both saddens u, it was a project we completed together and we wanted go to the end together... Our trip is postponed, that's alright, but I regret not being there to support and encourage her.
